You can help have a relaxing and positive birth by
eating healthily
take time to relax and prepare yourself
avoiding sources of stress and anxiety
gentle and sensible exercise, e.g. walking etc
being kind to yourself
helping your partner understand how they can help you (there is a section in the Effective Birth Preparation Book on this).
