"I hear and see the success of this method reflected back in comments from the people I teach"
Having successfully used hypnobirthing for my own two births, I decided to help other women benefit from it by becoming a teacher. Living far from most of the face-to-face training venues, and having two small children and a busy job, it was important for me to find a course that was available online and had a flexible learning schedule. It was also vital that the content was high quality. I'm a scientist, and I'm very thorough about anything I research and pass on to others. I was also hearing mixed reviews about hypnobirthing courses and resources, which can vary a lot in what they cover and how well they prepare women and their partners for birth.
The Natal Hypnotherapy practitioner training course was as thorough as I could have asked. It was straightforward and very flexible, and I found Maggie's approach to be a wonderful combination of clear, honest, sensitive, practical, informative and inspiring. Her materials and tips to help practitioners set up their own practices were equally abundant and thorough, which is enormously important for enabling trainees to get started and focus on their work, rather than having to figure out all the practicalities of insurance, venue considerations, props, handouts, etc. etc.
However, what continues to impress me most is the structure and content of the course Maggie designed for practitioners to teach to pregnant women and couples. Every time I teach the course I'm struck by the wisdom and careful thought that has gone into arranging the content and hypnosis sessions in such a way as to take pregnant women and their partners on a powerful journey towards confident, well-informed, calm birthing, letting go of fear along the way. And I hear and see the success of this method reflected back in comments from the people I teach, before and after they have given birth. I feel deeply confident that the course I'm offering is as good as hypnobirthing can get.
