Why I became a practitioner
In 2007 my son was born by emergency c-section; definitely not the birth I had anticipated. When I became pregnant with my daughter I decided I needed to re-evaluate my approach to birth and equip myself with a range of techniques to help me have a different experience. I am happy to say my daughter was born by VBAC (vaginal birth after section) in the most exhilarating and rewarding way I could have imagined. I understand directly the profound impact birth stories have on the lives of women and their partners. I decided to change the direction of my career to work full-time supporting women and their partners through this amazing journey.
My core beliefs surrounding pregnancy and birth
I believe that pregnancy and childbirth should be celebrated for the amazing experience it is. I believe that we can increase our trust and confidence on our ability to birth our babies, and access the inherent resources we have. Bringing a child into the world is a deeply moving experience for the whole family and birth stories can have an impact on the emotional and physical wellbeing of all concerned. The deep relaxation experienced using Natal Hypnotherapy can help to transform the experience from birth to parenthood.
My experience of working with pregnant women and my personal experience of Natal Hypnotherapy
